Keith Andrews delivers major expansion in Hamilton
Daimler commercial vehicles dealership Keith Andrews Hamilton has completed a major workshop extension, which has significantly increased the capacity of the flagship site in the Waikato.
- 2,084m2 dealership expands to 3,444m2 – a 65% larger footprint.
- Workshop capacity increases from 8 to 22 vehicle bays with up to ten extra technicians.
- Two dedicated CoF B inspection bays in new one-stop service and repair shop.
Completion of this significant development has considerably scaled up the Hamilton dealership’s sales, parts and service support for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner Trucks, FUSO Truck & Bus, and Mercedes-Benz Vans.
Earthworks began on the 1,360m2 extension in late September 2022, which delivered an additional 14 vehicle bays to a total of 22 and created roles for up to 20 new employees.
Two of the new bays are dedicated to Certificate of Fitness B (CoF B) inspections, which will enable any issues identified during an inspection to be dealt with onsite, reducing customer downtime.
Keith Andrews Hamilton dealer principal Phillip Stevens said that the increased capacity and services enables his team to deliver on its commitment to provide the best in sales, parts and service for the Waikato region.
“Since the dealership launched in 2018, our dedicated team has excelled in meeting the needs of our valued customers across the region,” said Stevens.
“Demand has grown considerably over the past five years and we are proud and excited to have an expanded world-class facility through which to support our customers’ operations. I know our technicians and the wider team are thrilled with their new workshop!”
Stevens was equally enthusiastic about the convenience of Keith Andrews’ one-stop shop approach, offering Certificate of Fitness (CoF) B inspections, service and repairs, all under one roof.
“Minimising downtime has always been one of our primary goals. By providing CoF inspections alongside our existing services, we can expediate the entire process and deliver added value to our customers,” he said.
Keith Andrews CEO Kurtis Andrews paid tribute to the hard work and passion of the Hamilton team, which he said had laid the groundwork for the expansion to happen.
“I would like to recognise the excellent contribution from this exceptional group of highly skilled and dedicated individuals, who have come together as an incredible team that is always working towards the common goal of supporting our customers,” said Andrews.
“This has been the case since day one, when we first opened our doors. While we knew there were operators across the Waikato who were in need of the support we could provide, it has been the efforts of those on the ground, backed up by our wider team, which has ensured those customers have grown in number and have kept coming back – driving the demand that has led to this considerable upscaling of operations.
“This is a significant milestone in the evolution of our business and one that everyone at Keith Andrews is very proud of.”
“We’re now fully operational and are welcoming customers to secure CoF bookings,” added Stevens. “Give us a call, email, or come on down for a visit!”
